Philip Trammell will discuss the case for 'patient philanthropy' - the idea that, if we want to have the largest positive impact with philanthropic money, we should invest and grow it for decades or centuries so we can spend more in the future. Phil is a DPhil student in economics here at Oxford and a research associate at the Global Priorities Institute. He is also on the management committee of the Patient Philanthropy Fund, which was established by Founders Pledge and inspired by his work on patient philanthropy. Phil will also talk about economic global priorities research - how the tools of economics can help answer foundational questions about how to do the most good.

Join us after the talk for pizza and space to meet some new people!

The event is wheelchair accessible and we encourage LFTs before attending.

Location: H B Allen Centre, 25 Banbury Road, Oxford, UK
