The Michigan AI Safety Initiative (MAISI) is a student group dedicated to positively shaping the development of advanced AI, with a focus on preventing catastrophes. MAISI's mission is to build the AI safety community at the University of Michigan, launch students into high-impact AI safety careers, and do research that reduces the risk of AI-related catastrophes.
