Welcome! We are a local city and university group in Ulm, Germany, offering a platform to meet and discuss topics related to Effective Altruism.

Semester activities - Winter 2024

• October     26th at 5 7 pm – Movie night “Life in a day (2010)”
• November 16th at 11 am – Workshop on moral discourse
• December 14th - Workshop on AI
• January     11th at 11 am – Workshop on impact modeling
• February   22th at 6 pm – Semester wrap up dinner
• Weekly meetings – reading group
  • this year we go through the 8-week career planning course of 80000hours.org. We’ll decide on the weekly meeting time per poll during the first week.
• December and January – Intro Program to Effective Altruism by EA Germany in collaboration with CEA. More info at https://effektiveraltruismus.de/intro-programm, if we are multiple participants from Ulm, we can participate as a group with in-person meetings. 

Additionally, there will be open meetings which we’ll announce on the Forum and our WhatsApp group. We aim to have a meeting every second Saturday.

Everyone is welcome to join! You don't need to have any previous knowledge or still be a student and are welcome to join with no commitment. Just come to an event or send us a message.

Language: Writing mostly in English, most events are in German, it’s totally fine if you can only speak one of those languages.
