Hi! I'm August! I wouldn't consider myself an EA, but I have learned a lot from this community and believe EA has done so much to make the world a better place. My goals are to learn from you all and contribute to the ecosystem.

I currently serve as the Founder and CEO of Ark Philanthropy, an advisory and grantmaking organization that partners with UHNWIs, families, foundations, and corporations to achieve high-impact philanthropy. I believe that there are many ways to make the world a better place! Ark Philanthropy works across a range of important issues which have historically been emphasized by the EA community, including global health and development, farm animal welfare, and global catastrophic risks. We also focus on causes that have been neglected by the EA community, such as gender-based violence.

Previously, I Co-founded the Centre for Aquaculture Progress, led a grassroots violence prevention and survivor advocacy organization, worked as a state-certified survivor advocate, and served as a mediator.
