I'm a Chicago native, currently living in London and working as a in-house technology attorney focusing on AI, data, and IP matters. I was introduced to the EA community recently when catching up with a friend and ended up spending days going down the rabbit hole of learning more!

I'm looking to build connections with people working on AI alignment – whether it is through academic papers, regulatory change, technical safeguards – I’d like to immerse myself in the full spectrum of impact. I'm particularly interested in learning how others are translating alignment principles into practical interventions in the industry, and how I can best contribute to that landscape as a legal professional. 

I’m actively exploring how to scale up my impact and would be interested in opportunities that can provide deeper policy engagement, a career shift towards AI alignment, or targeted collaboration with alignment researchers

I can offer my legal expertise and industry perspective to others in the EA community. While I’m early in my engagement with effective altruism, I’ve spent years navigating AI deployment decisions from a legal, ethical, and institutional standpoint. I’d be happy to share insights with researchers, advocates, or early-career professionals looking to understand how real-world AI decisions are made—and how we might improve the systems shaping them.
