Thanks for the VERY detailed answer. Surprised to learn the IPCC gives such a low credence to climate change being an existential, rather than just a catastrophic threat. I guess that'll teach me to take vague claims of existential threat from the press' science reporting and the odd blog less seriously(!).

Why do you think A.I. is imminent enough in the next century to be a comparable existential risk to the others you list?
