Do you know this situation? You're involved in a discussion about political, societal or philosophical topics that are important to you. You try to convey your point of view and engage with the other person. But it's not quite working - you feel annoyed or misunderstood. The other person's point of view seems incomprehensible or you might even feel personally attacked.

In this workshop, we will explore how to engage with disagreement in a mindful, self-aware, caring, and respectful manner.

First, we will learn methods to understand our own point of view better. Then, we will pair up and discuss subjects that are important to us. During these pair discussions, we will try to get a holistic understanding of the other person's world.

Finally, we will learn the art of street epistemology. This method is based on Socratic dialogue and will help you think about the foundations of the belief together.

We will create an open-hearted and mindful atmosphere in which you are welcome with whatever opinions you hold.

The workshop is led by Alesya and Lukas.

Alesya is interested in critical thinking and taught numerous workshops on street epistemology in Moscow.

Lukas is interested in creating authentic spaces and helping people connect. He leads workshops on circling, authentic relating, and rational self-improvement.

This is a free workshop. 2,5G required - vaccination or previous infection or PCR test.
