The London Effective Giving Community is part of a growing global movement of over 10,000 people giving a meaningful portion of their income to high-impact nonprofits. We pool our donations to tackle the world’s most pressing problems. Many of us have taken the 🔸10% Pledge, the 🔹Trial Pledge, or the 1% Pledge. We also warmly welcome those seriously exploring Effective Giving as a way to deepen their impact.
On 14 September (Sun), come co-work with us at the LEAH Office, one of London's most prominent hubs for impact. LEAH provides a productive space for people to focus on projects across a range of cause areas such as global health, animal welfare, and emerging catastrophic risks.
Our high-level intention is to create an intentional space to explore greenfield opportunities. As such, we have three guiding principles:
- Step outside your day job. Use this time to inspire yourself and others developing ideas you normally wouldn't consider over the work week.
- Balance reflection with action. We encourage everyone to spend at least one hour turning thought into tangible progress.
- Give space to Effective Giving. We invite you to dedicate at least one hour contributing to the Effective Giving movement. Whether through one-off donations you've been meaning to do, researching how to give more effectively, or creating advocacy artefacts (I'm running a workshop at 2pm for those looking for actionable ideas)
Doors open from 09:00 for early birds, officially starting at 10:30 for warm intros and shared goal-setting on a whiteboard. After our day of sprints, workshop, and reflection, we'll finish the day with a social at a nearby cafe or pub from 16:30.
Bring your energy (we know Sundays are precious), and if you believe they'd benefit from this experience, your most curious +1. We hope to see you there.
