Unser nächstes Lokalgruppentreffen steht an!
Wir treffen uns kommenden Mittwoch( 11.01.23) um 19:30 Uhr, im Philosophenweg 12 (Physik Institut, Neuenheim), Raum 104, (1. OG).
Wir wollen uns mit der Frage beschäftigen:
Was bedeutet es, effektiv altruistisches Handeln konkret in unserem Leben umzusetzen? EA ist nicht nur eine theoretisches Gerüst von philosophischen Überlegungen und Analysen unserer Welt, sondern beinhaltet vor allem auch die Frage: Was bedeutet “möglichst viel Gutes tun” für unser Handeln und unsere Lebensgestaltung?. Darüber wollen wir gerne mit Euch diskutieren und uns die Bereiche Effektives Spenden, die Wahl unserer Berufslaufbahn und unsere Lifestyle Entscheidungen/ unser Engagement anschauen.
Natürlich ist wie immer auch Raum um allgemeine Themen rund um den Effektiven Altruismus zu diskutieren, zu socialisen und eine gute Zeit gemeinsam zu verbringen.

Das Event findet zum ersten Mal in englischer Sprache statt, wir wollen das ausprobieren, um unsere Gruppe offen für internationale Studis zu gestalten. Falls dich das zögern lässt, an der Veranstaltung teilzunehmen, melde dich gerne bei uns, wir finden sicher eine Lösung, die für alle passt.

Our next local group meeting is coming up!
We will meet next Wednesday (January 11th, 2023) at 7:30 p.m., in Philosophenweg 12 (Physics Institute, Neuenheim), room 104, (1st floor).
We want to address the question:
What does it concretely mean to implement effective, altruistic action in our lives? EA is not only a theoretical framework of philosophical considerations and analyzes of our world, but above all also includes the question: What does "doing as much good as possible" mean for our actions and our way of life?. We would like to discuss this with you and look at the areas of effective donations, the choice of our career and our lifestyle decisions/our commitment.
Of course, as always, there is also room to discuss general topics related to effective altruism, to socialize and to have a good time together.
