As part of our current goal-oriented fellowship, we are hosting a careers panel this Sunday and are opening it up to the broader EA Melbourne community. You'll get the chance to hear from three speakers using their careers to address some of the world's most pressing problems, to ask the speakers your burning questions about careers in effective altruism, and to meet other people interested in doing high-impact work.
Our three speakers are:
– Krystal Ha
Krystal is a Co-founder and Research Lead at Policy Foundry, which is a policy development and advisory unit focused on pressing global challenges, such as artificial intelligence, climate change and pandemics. Policy Foundry develops policy proposals and works with advocacy organisations to shape Australian policy.
– Nathan Sherburn
Nathan is the Director at The Good Ancestors Project. The project’s mission is to identify project ideas that could positively affect future generations, and support talented individuals across Australia to work on these global challenges by connecting them with advice, infrastructure, expertise and support from a global community of highly talented and like-minded people.
– Elliot Dellys
Elliot is the CEO of Phronesis Security, Australia’s first B-Corp certified cybersecurity company. The company donates 10 per cent of monthly profit, inspired by the ideas of Effective Altruism. Elliot has regularly featured in the media to talk about his project and Effective Altruism.
Hope to see you there!
