Välkommen till lunchföreläsning om effektiv altruism på Uppsala Universitet!
Föreläsningen kommer hållas i Ångström, rum 4003.
Är du nyfiken på hur du skulle kunna göra mer gott i världen?
Inom filosofin effektiv altruism ställer vi oss just den frågan. Med hjälp av vetenskap, evidens och kritiskt tänkande, försöker vi besvara den och sedan agera på vår bästa gissning. Och att verkligen göra gott, ha en "social impact", att göra skillnad, kan vara svårt. I introduktionsföreläsningen kommer vi gå igenom varför, samt ett par verktyg som kanske kan hjälpa oss att urskilja riktigt bra möjligheter att göra gott från de som endast verkar vara bra.

Föreläsningen kommer hållas av Effektiv Altruism Sverige, som är den svenska grenen av den internationella rörelsen effektiv altruism. Du kan läsa mer om deras verksamhet på: https://effektivaltruism.org.
Föreläsningen är öppen för alla studerande och yrkesverksamma på Uppsala Universitet och kommer hållas på engelska. Lunch kommer att finnas tillgängligt under föreläsningen.

Welcome to an introductory lunch lecture about effective altruism at Uppsala University!
The lecture will be held in Ångström, room 4003.
Are your curious about how you can do more good in the world?
Within the philosophy of effective altruism we ask ourselves just that question. Using science, evidence and critical thinking, we try to answer it and then act on our best guesses. And to really do good, to “have an impact”, to make a difference, can be difficult. During the lecture, we will have a look at why, and go through a couple of tools that might help us to distinguish between great opportunities to do good, and those that only seem to be.

The lecture will be held by Effective Altruism Sweden - the Swedish branch of the international movement of effective altruism. You can read more about what we do on our website: https://effektivaltruism.org.
The lecture is open to all students and professionals at Uppsala University and will be held in English. Lunch will be available during the lecture.
