Want to practice applied rationality techniques?
This meetup we'll work through selected exercises from the CFAR Handbook — the Center for Applied Rationality's collection of concrete techniques for clearer thinking, better decisions, and follow-through on your goals.
Format: A short intro to each technique → solo practice → paired or group reflection on what came up and what stuck. We'll work through several exercises across the evening, with plenty of time for discussion.
We'll probably be working on Goal Factoring (breaking down your goals to find what you actually want from them) and Aversion Factoring (unpacking why you're avoiding something to find what's really going on).
No prior familiarity with CFAR, EA, or rationality content required — just curiosity and a willingness to reflect.
New faces are always welcome. Please drop us a line below (or via pm or email) if you want to participate and have not been in contact with us before.
