Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, we gather together for interesting conversations, new connections, learning and solidarity – supporting each other to have significant positive impact in our work and other endeavours.
The location is Smith's Alternative: an eclectic, comfy cafe and arts venue which is reserved for our group between 12 and 2pm (enter the main room beyond our blue banner). We provide a light lunch to keep up the energy
The event is free and you don't need to register, though we'd appreciate if you can click 'Going' so we know how many people to expect
Note for new members:
Effective Altruism is a movement, philosophy and community of people interested in using high-quality evidence and careful reasoning to prioritise the world's biggest problems and help others as much as possible. It began in Oxford, UK, and there are community groups all over the world supporting effective altruists to this aim. If you're living in the ACT or nearby, EA Canberra is for you!
