--- Your opportunity to make a real impact on AI governance! ---
The recent Australian Government consultation on Safe & Responsible AI received 450 submissions - this is a gold-mine for data on the key stakeholders, perspectives and challenges in AI governance.
Why is this opportunity important?
Progress in policy advocacy isn't easy - it requires understanding the nuanced landscape of evidence, perspectives and incentives. To have any success, it's important to know who is advocating for specific concerns or outcomes, and the evidence they cite for these arguments.
In addition to providing valuable information for AI governance efforts in Australia, this analysis could also provide insights that can be generalised to research & advocacy campaigns internationally.
Zan Saeri (Ready Research), is leading an AI Submission Analysis project which will involve cleaning, organising, and analysing this data. AISM is helping coordinate some of this work, and the "Analysis Hackathon" is your opportunity to join in for the fun part - analysing all that data!
We think this event will be particularly well suited for:
- Researchers interested in AI governance
- Professionals who want to learn more about the AI governance landscape in Australia
- Anyone else who would like to make meaningful contributions to evidence-based decision-making in this area
