2024 looms ever closer! You don’t want to start the new year uncalibrated
now do you???
Brush up on your skills with a friendly round of The Estimation Game. It's a quiz designed to improve your calibration by estimating the answers to questions like, “How many piano tuners are there in New York?”
We’ll break into small groups and go through the questions together. By playing the latest edition for December, we'll be able to compare our results to other EA groups around the world!
What is calibration?
Calibration refers to the foundational rationality skill of using numbers to accurately represent your level of certainty. If that sounds confusing or intimidating, then this event is for YOU.
(Really, no knowledge or experience necessary.)
Do I need to bring anything in order to participate?
At least one person per team will need a smartphone or laptop.
How many people will be on a team?
There is no exact limit, but we will aim for 2-4 people per team. If you would prefer to answer solo, you are welcome to also.
How long will this quiz take?
Answering the 10 questions will take ~45 minutes. After that, we will continue hanging out!
Can I bring a friend or two?
Of course
