"With limited time and resources, how can I make the greatest positive impact in this world?" That is the question which we ask at Effective altruism (EA)—a global movement that seeks to apply evidence and reason to determine the most effective ways to improve the world. Effective Altruism Malaysia (EA MY) is part of the network of EA chapters globally.

If you care about doing good in more effective ways, come join us for an introduction to EA virtual workshop to find out more about how you can make a difference in the world. This event is for anyone who is new to EA and is interested to learn about broad foundational EA-related ideas (http://www.effectivealtruism.org/.../introduction-to.../)!

We'll be sharing:
• Concepts from economics (scarcity, trade-offs, heavy tail distributions, cost-effectiveness)
• Concepts from ethics (moral uncertainty, moral patienthood)
• Cause prioritization (a decision framework)
• The most pressing global problems (global health & poverty, animal welfare, existential risks, priorities research)
• What EA is, and why we exist
