Did you know that charities working to advocate for the welfare of animals or reduce catastrophic disaster risk can’t currently accept tax-deductible donations? This hampers the ability of such charities to raise funds, organise community events and impact policy.
Australian charity law is unfriendly to impact-focused charities, and we want this to change.
Join us on Thursday at 6pm to hear from Greg Sadler about how you can help change charity laws so that impactful charities, such as animal welfare charities, can have their fundraising efforts substantially boosted. This is probably the most impactful thing you could be doing with your Thursday evening so please come along and bring your laptop!
Greg spent 15 years in the Australian Public Service, including at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Department of Home Affairs, and the Attorney-General’s Department. Greg has led teams performing a range of legal advice, policy development and risk assessment functions.
Please share this event with your friends and colleagues – particularly people concerned about animal welfare and the well-being of future generations.
Schedule:
6pm Vegan Pizza, Healthy Snacks and Social
6:45pm Greg Sadler's Presentation
7:30pm Social
Please register yourself as "Going" if you think you might attend as this will help with organising enough food and chairs for everyone!
