Join us for our first event of the year on the Tuesday evening of week 2! There will be a brief introduction to Effective Altruism, followed by speed updating.
Don't know what speed updating is?
Speed updating is a quick series of conversations with different people on topics you disagree on. The aim is to understand how you came to different sides and learn from each other in a friendly and open manner. Many of the questions will be related to Effective Altruism, but don't feel like you need to already have strong opinions or be super knowledgable.
Use the event as a chance to get to know other like-minded people, learn some new things and generally have a good time!
