Hey everyone,

I’m Paul, European campaigner at Mercy For Animals, and currently leading a groundbreaking campaign that’s all about giving a voice to those who often go unheard – our shrimp friends 🦐

Today, I'm inviting you to join us for a major moment in our movement – the world’s first ever corporate shrimp welfare campaign. It’s a big deal, and we need your help to make it a success.

With shrimp being the most-farmed animals in the world. An estimated 440 billion of these animals are farmed and killed each year for human consumption.

We're targeting Tesco, the UK’s largest retailer, with our ask being to publish a public timeline to phase out eyestalk ablation and implement electric stunning throughout their supply chain.

Check out our campaign video (trigger warning: graphic content) to learn more.

A policy from Tesco alone will impact 5 BILLION animals per year!

Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Join us physically for a peaceful protest in London on May 30th. It’s going to be a powerful day, marking Mercy For Animals’s first official action in Europe.
  2. Become an online supporter from anywhere in the world and take part in powerful digital actions - these are equally as impactful for winning this campaign! Help us amplify our message online, as every email, share, or post helps!

Head over to StopTescoCruelty.org to sign up for the protest or to register for important online actions✊

So, are you with us?

Know someone in or around London who would like to be a part of this?

Please consider signing up or sharing with your network! Every single one of you counts.

Let’s make it happen, for the billions of tiny lives counting on us.
