🌍 What are the world's most pressing problems?

📢 What should be a global top priority, but needs more attention?

🧑🏾‍🤝‍🧑🏻 And how can you use your career to best make a difference to others?

Anemone Franz works as a career advisor at 80,000 Hours (80000hours.org) – a nonprofit that aims to help you answer the last of these questions.

She'll talk through how she helps people answer the following 4 questions:

1) What are your values?

2) Which problems seems most pressing?

3) What role best helps the problem?

4) How can *you* get that role?

There will also be free pizza afterwards, and plenty of time to chat to other attendees and the EA Oxford committee. Hit <Going> so we know how much to order!

Come and join us in the L2 Lecture Theatre of the Maths Institute! No ticket required.

Anemone previously worked at Alvea, a biotech startup, as a clinical trial physician focusing on novel COVID-19 vaccine candidates and other medical countermeasures. During medical school, Anemone spent time at the Swiss Institute for Tropical and Public Health, managed a support program for patients with tuberculosis, and conducted research on human physiology in space. Her doctoral research focused on parasitic infections in street children and orphans in Tanzania.

By coming to any EA Oxford event, you are agreeing to:

- Be considerate, especially of other people’s boundaries.

- Communicate and act in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome
