An informal meetup for anybody who is interested in or curious about effective altruism, a philosophy that promotes using reason and evidence to do the most good in the world.

In this edition we have Monica Belițoiu as our guest. Monica is the executive director at the Romanian Secular-Humanist Association (ASUR) and since 2014 she has successfully helped to pitch Cosmos (Carl Sagan) and The Age of Reason (Thomas Paine) to local publishing houses for translation. As part of their collaboration with publishing houses, ASUR has also been invited to several launch events for books related to science and atheism.

There are many books that are recommended by the EA community, but at present none of them have been translated to Romanian. In this meetup we will have the opportunity to talk to Monica about ASUR's strategy so that hopefully one day we can also translate EA books to Romanian.
