This event will be hosted in person in London, and livestreamed online here. See more details and register here.

As the world grapples with the challenges and opportunities presented by the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence, the UK will host the first major global summit on AI safety. It will bring together key countries, leading tech companies and researchers to agree safety measures to coordinate an international response to the extreme risk posed by AI.

What is decided upon here may influence our common future directly. Much is at stake! With this in mind, Existential Risk Observatory and Conjecture organise this event in order to talk about what this summit on the development of artificial intelligence should produce: What are the best scenarios with regards to existential risks from AI, and what are the worst, for humanity?

The evening will include a talk by Associate Professor Roman Yampolskiy (Uni of Louisville), a speech by Sir Robert Buckland MP, as well as Conjecture's Connor Leahy.

Beyond this, there will be a panel discussion hosting Conjecture's head of strategy and governance Andrea Miotti, as well as leading voices from the societal debate and the political realm, such as investor Jaan Tallinn, co-founder of CSER, economist Alexandra Mouzavizadeh, journalist Tom Ough, policy analyst with the International Center for Future Generations Eva Behrens. Moderator of the evening will be David Wood, chair of the London Futurists.
