This month, we'll be discussing Poor Economics (2011) by Nobel Prize winners Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo!

In Poor Economics: A Radical Rethinking of the Way to Fight Global Poverty, the two Economics professors and co-founders of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), discuss their lessons from 15 years of working on global poverty. They take an evidence-based approach, drawing on the hundreds of RCTs they've conducted, to understand what traps people in extreme poverty, and some of the solutions that can improve the situation.

Make sure to join the #reading-group channel on the EA NYC Slack to discuss throughout the month. Stick around since that's where we decide on the books for future months!
