Effective Altruism UNSW and UNSW Philosophy Society are teaming up for a discussion concerning the philosophy of doing good!
Do we have a moral obligation to help one another? On Monday 13th of March, we’ll be discussing this incredibly consequential question. There’s many more questions within it that we’ll want to unpack together, including asking what moral obligation is, to what extent our obligations lie, and what this means for how we should live our life. The aim of this discussion is not to win any debate, but to share each other’s perspectives and broaden our understanding of morality and our place in the world. If you’re interested in hearing a variety of opinions and maybe also occasionally expressing your own, this is the event for you! Dinner will be provided, so make sure to fill in the attendance form below!
