Most of us do what we can to help the environment: we use less electricity, use solar, recycle, drive less, drive electric/hybrid, and maybe even change our diets. But, $1000 to the world’s most effective climate charities is more effective than doing all of those things combined. How is that even possible? And what are those charities?
Join us to celebrate the launch of Effective Altruism Australia Environment (EAAE), a new arm of EA Australia. EAAE has identified evidence-based, cost-effective, and high-leverage organisations working to combat climate change, and will be helping Australians who want to contribute to environmental causes, to maximise the impact of their donations.
Come watch a presentation about EAAE and the evidence-based partner charities it recommends, and learn how to take action! You can also look forward to free dinner (hearty stew or curry with rice), tea and the opportunity to meet like-minded people.
Time and date: Tuesday 6 June, 6:30pm
Venue: The Food Co-op
