Working out how to improve the world is tough. Should we be focusing on tackling global poverty, climate change, institutional biases, mental health, or something else entirely?

Effective Altruism (EA) is a growing social movement and community that aims to answer this question, using reason and evidence to find the actions that help others the most.

The day will include presentation content, group discussions and fun exercises to apply the concepts in practical situations. We'll also give you an overview of Effective Altruism Cambridge, what we do and how you can get involved, including what careers support we offer.

The day includes free lunch and snacks, and the chance to meet like-minded people in Cambridge!

If you're curious, open-minded and excited about doing good, sign up here:

This workshop is aimed at people in Cambridge who are new to Effective Altruism (i.e. have NOT taken part in any of our 8-week Fellowships). It's open to everyone; no affiliation with the University of Cambridge is needed.

NOTE: if we have many more applicants than capacity allows, we may not have space for everyone on this workshop. We'll send you an email the week before the event to confirm your place. If you miss out this time, don't worry, we're planning to hold similar events in the future!
