We've been contacted by Animal Ethics, an EA aligned charity based in the US. They're mostly based in Asia and in South America, though they do have some contribution in Europe.
More specifically, Animal Ethics promote respect for nonhuman animals through outreach, research, and education. They support and research interventions to improve the lives of animals in the wild, such as vaccinations and helping animals in natural disasters. They also explore how future technologies that will enable them to avoid catastrophic risks and ways technology can be used to help wild animals on a large scale.
This talk will be a broad overview of the work they do and then dive into some of their core focus, such as wild animal suffering, longtermism and S risk.
Sounds great, right? We'll share the join link closer to the time.
Newcomers always welcomed.
Have a look at the links below for introductory material if you're not sure what EA is about, or come along and have a chat with one of our friendly regulars. Or don't, and come and talk about anything at all.
