On the 15th of February, Dr. Bal Dithal of the Lead Exposure Elimination Project will join us for a fireside chat and Q&A.
LEEP is tackling the critical yet often neglected issue of lead poisoning, particularly in developing countries. Lead exposure has a permanent impact on a child's cognitive development, diminishing their future potential, and can lead to cardiovascular disease, anemia, and kidney damage.
Dr. Dithal, a medical doctor by training, works as the project manager for the Lead Exposure Elimination Project. He’ll be discussing how LEEP works on the ground, the major blocks it faces in reducing lead poisoning and how promising the future looks for eliminating lead poisoning completely.
Though this is hosted by EA Éire, anyone who's interested is welcome to join.
