I'm Aashka, founder of "On AIR with Aashka," a bootstrapped AI risk literacy venture that my mother and I have been running using our personal savings. I've been invited to attend the International Association for Safe and Ethical AI Conference (IASEAI 2026) in Paris (February 24-26), an invitation-only conference attended by leading voices in AI safety and ethics.
The Opportunity: My talk proposal, "AI Nutrition Labels For Everyone: Simplifying Model Cards from Geek to Street" wasn't selected due to limited speaking slots, but the proposal was strong enough to earn an invitation to attend. This represents a huge opportunity to connect with the AI safety and ethics researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and practitioners. By connecting with them, I can
- Get ideas and inputs to further my independent research on AI Transparency
- Bring the perspectives of such leading voices to my audience by interviewing them
The Challenge: We're currently operating with only ₹46,858 (~$511) in our account, roughly four months of runway. Traveling from India to Paris makes attendance significantly expensive, given our current constraints. We're actively pursuing grants but haven't secured concrete funding yet.
Why This Matters: This conference is uniquely aligned with my mission to make AI safety, governance, and ethics as mainstream as AI itself. The connections and insights from IASEAI could accelerate our work.
