Sightsavers is an organization with multiple program areas that focuses on preventing avoidable blindness, supporting people with disabilities, and distributing treatments for neglected tropical diseases. It works with governments and other organizations in Asia and Africa.

Evaluation

Sightsavers's deworming program was a GiveWell top-rated charity between 2016 and 2022.^[1]  GiveWell estimates that Sightsavers can deworm a child at a cost of around $1.^[1][2]

As of July 2022, Sightsavers has received over $25.2 million in funding from Open Philanthropy.^[3]
