ALTERING TO URGENCY: EA and Africa
My very short thought on what the EA community really needs to do right when it comes to supporting talents from Africa.

Innovation and funding programs that are dedicated to only Africans. Attempting to use the same scorecard for innovations from mature ecosystems (U.S, UK etc.) will lead to excluding promising innovations.
I wish that the leadership of EA orgs will take this really seriously.
EA needs Africa in order to multiply impact, Africa needs EA to empower young African talents to solve the continent’s and globally shared pressing challenges.
PS: I am not working directly on this issue, as I am currently focused on nuclear security. However, I would welcome conversations that could provide solutions and would be happy to support such efforts. My email - Ajudeonuifeanyi@gmail.com.

This is a great development. I look forward to seeing especially nuclear security projects get off the ground. A core part of our altruistic ambition depends on how well we are able to manage into the global order. If we have EA oriented ideas/projects at the forefront of international stability interventions, I can imagine how much potential impact that means. Congratulations!
