This time, we'll have @Inga, Director at Rethink Wellbeing.
What we do, what we learned, and why our program might rival those of GiveWell's top charities
You might save up to two lives per year using Cognitive Behavioral Treatment methods on one a member of the Effective Altruism community. In 2023, we developed an 8-week program and saw an increase of 5-9 productive hours per week for the 42 attending EAs, on top of improved mental health. In 2024, we aim to scale this program within the EA community with a randomized controlled trial (RCT). Is this cost-effective? Probably. Potentially, the program might outperform those of GiveWell’s recommended top charities. In this talk and discussion, you can find out about who is behind this initiative, what our program looks like, what our outcomes have been so far, and how we aim to have an impact in 2024. We are thirsty for your ideas, thoughts and support on this!
