Curious about effective altruism? Or perhaps this is your first time hearing about it? Either way, this is the perfect event for you! 🤠

Join us for a captivating introductory presentation where one of our great committee members will delve into the fundamental principles underlying the effective altruism movements and their real-world implications. Learn how people inspired by these principles think about how to have the greatest positive impact possible on the world, with a given unit of resources. 🧠

Following this, you’ll have the opportunity engage in discussions on these topics with fellow newcomers as well as club committee members, to share your opinions and clarify any points of confusion or contention. 💡

After the first hour we will transition to a free-flowing social event accompanied by free plant-based pizza. If the introduction isn’t suitable for you, you’d be welcome to drop by just for this part too! 🍕🌱

Either way, we look forward to seeing you there! ✨
