Join us for the first anniversary of The Annual Shrimp Protest before EAG London next Friday 6th June✊
During last year's edition over 70 animal advocates sent a powerful message to Tesco: shrimp matter! Fast forward one year and not only Tesco, but the majority of UK supermarkets have committed to stop cutting shrimps eyes off and suffocating them to death.
Since April '25 the UK discount supermarket Iceland Foods has been the target of a public campaign by the International Council for Animal Welfare. After two months of pressure, their Chairman Richard Walker just admitted that eyestalk ablation happens in their supply chain. However, they are yet to commit to a timeline to end these practices.
Our protest can show them that these are issues people care about and that they need to publish a plan to end them!
