Farmkind's new "Forget Veganuary" campaign has caused a stir in the animal advocacy movement. Aiming to show people that you can help animals even if you still eat meat, Farmkind has paid three competitive meat eaters to eat nothing but animal products for an entire day - as long as they discuss donating to offset the animal welfare harms while doing so.

Both The Daily Mail and GB News ran stories gleefully declaring how  Veganuary's former Head of Comms has "turned her back on the vegan movement" to run this "meat-eating campaign".

But while Farmkind said the two organisations had cooperated ahead of the campaign's launch, Veganuary's CEO insisted they weren't involved in its development - and opinions among advocates are also pretty divided.

At this edition of Revolutionists' Night, we'll discuss whether the campaign is actually a good idea, and how to weigh up the impact of strategies like this on movement infighting and long-term goals.
