Research Night is a curiosity-driven party for people who like to learn new stuff and share their findings with others.
The rules are:
- pick a question you can make progress on in 1 hour;
- topics must be sufficiently distinct from your normal work;
- discuss your findings with the group at the end.
Past examples include questions like "How did the internet?", "Why aren’t plants smart?", "How to grow a glacier?", etc.
The meeting is meant to be entirely recreational. Don’t use Research Night as an opportunity to force yourself to do something virtuous you’ve been putting off.
