Hi fellow humans, this is Effective Altruism Society University of Reading (EAS UoR).[1]
We are a newly founded EA group in Reading. We are a principles-first group and aim to get more students into high-impact careers.

We are looking for speakers for talks in climate change, animal welfare, AI safety, any cause area! We also have funding for travel support available for speaker from Bristol, London, and anywhere in-between. Please contact us if you are unsure about the travelling cost.

Effective Altruism University of Rochester exists, Instagram link, so we (by which I mean I, Fred) decided to add Society to the name to avoid name clashing.
Arguably could have chosen Effective Altruism Reading instead, but I wanted to clearly show we are a university group, not a city group (even though we are open to anyone).
