Welcome to our Effective Animal Advocacy Meetup! Whether you're a newcomer or you've joined us before, let's get to know each other (better) and explore the most thought-provoking questions facing the animal advocacy world today.
This time we're happy to welcome Bob Fischer, senior research manager at Rethink Priorities and the director of the Society for the Study of Ethics and Animals. Bob will be speaking about Rethink Priorities’s Moral Weight Project. This project aims to systematically compare the capacity to experience pleasure and pain across species and thereby help prioritise interventions.
Schedule for the evening
- 19h00: Arrivals and vegan buffet
- 19h15: Brief intro for newcomers
- 19h45: Presentation by Bob Fischer with Q&A
- 20h30: Structured discussion about the Moral Weight Project
- 21h15: Open discussion, networking and socialising
- 22h00: End of the event
Our wholesome vegan buffet table will be prepared in advance. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any allergies or other needs and we'll do our best to accomodate you.
