A friend and I have been working on an idea, what would a platform that could change the world look like? We thought of all the bad things about the internet right now, and how it's stopping humanity from progressing as a species.

Here are the key ideas we're thinking of pursuing:

• Using AI to enhance discussion, not replace it: The world is complex. We want to use AI to help people learn how the world works, making it easier for them to change it.
• Streamlining onboarding into complex topics: We want to move away from large walls of text and instead deconstruct information into concise, interactive formats and visuals to communicate ideas faster. We plan to use AI to dynamically generate the most effective way to display information from a source.
• Human-centered algorithms: Instead of prioritizing profit, we want to build an algorithm that ensure ideas are judged through a process of deliberation and discussion.

Full disclosure: We are trying to build this into a real platform because we want people to receive actual value from their time online. We know that this is only possible if we build a community that loves the experience of using this platform, so we will be as attentive as possible to any feedback. We know generally what's wrong with the internet, but we're definitely not clear on how we can fix it all. So any thoughts from everyone would be amazing.

In a way, it should be similar to EA Forum but broader and with more tools.
