I run my own business while looking for a way to contribute more substantially to AI safety.
What I do? 1. Try to understand what AI means for our society and the world at large. 2. Help other understand it.
What I do, really? To get an income, I do courses, keynotes and workshops on AI, most often in the education sector. I write books and opinion articles, and comment in AI in media. I listen to loads of podcasts on AI, and I use different ways of exploring what AI development means today and tomorrow. I'm a generalist in AI, but expert in communication and also AI + education in combination.
I have a background as physicist, education researcher, science journalist, web developer and teacher. Before I started my own business I worked nine years at Sweden's National Agency for Education. Many years with math education stuff, but when ChatGPT was released I pivoted to form and then head the agency's team for AI. Then I left to increase my changes of actually contributing to AI safety.
Oh, there are parts of me that aren't my professional self. I live in Stockholm with a wonderful family. I love playing board games, drinking tea, being with friends, playing guitar, and ponder the difficult questions of life.
Well, I'd really like to find an organization where I can contribute more to AI safety than I can do by myself. But I won't leave Stockholm, which narrows it down quite a bit.
I can explain various stuff when it comes to AI and AI safety.
I have deep knowledge of AI and education.
I can be generally kind and friendly.
