Anneke Pogarell will talk about her experience of supporting EA community building in Japan.

Anneke works for the Centre for Effective Altruism as a contractor/CBG grantee while pursuing her PhD. Her academic background is in Speech Science/Japanese Intercultural Studies (Keio University, Japan). She also has experience in management consulting (BCG).

The actual presentation itself including Q&A will take about 30 minutes. However, we would be delighted if you stayed longer and continued the discussion over snacks and drinks afterwards. The schedule is as follows:

  • 19:00 Arrival
  • 19:30 Presentation and Q&A
  • 20:00 Discussion and networking
  • Open end (9pm or later)

This event is part of the TEAMWORK Speaker Series, in which experts from the field of Effective Altruism (in a broad sense) will present the most exciting findings from their work. If you have any suggestions for future speakers to invite, please let us know.Detailed directions to TEAMWORK can be found here.
