Welcome to our Effective Animal Advocacy Meetup! Whether you're a newcomer or you've joined us before, let's get to know each other (better) and explore the most thought-provoking questions facing the animal advocacy world today.

This time we're excited to welcome Alice Pjie, co-founder of the Institut de la Condition Animale, a young organisation working to reduce animal suffering by promoting cultural change among influential elite groups. Alice will share insights into their theory of change as well as their latest project: a hackathon connecting students, artificial intelligence, and alternative proteins. The talk will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their approach before opening up a discussion on the influence of elites on reducing animal suffering and how to effectively engage them.

Schedule for the evening

  • 19h00: Arrivals and vegan buffet
  • 19h15: Brief intro for newcomers
  • 19h45: Presentation by Alice with Q&A
  • 20h45: Structured discussion, networking and socialising
  • 21h30: End of the event

A vegan buffet will be ready for you! If you have any allergies or other dietary needs, please let us know in advance and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

If you'd like to learn more about EA before attending the event, check out www.effectivealtruism.org for an overview.

Questions, feedback or suggestions? Don't hesitate reach out, we'd love to hear from you!

Warmly,
Chris
