Noticed this week that https://Every.org has a few small promotions for different activities on their platform. If one signs up for a new account or has an account they haven’t used in a while, I suggest logging in, liking 3 donations/posts from others on effective orgs, & setting up a $10 monthly donation to an effective org directly from a bank account.
-The 1st $10 monthly donation will cost $7 with $3 in credit from the 3 likes, & you get a $5 credit for using your bank (watch out it looks like they set the credits to expire before your next monthly donation).
-Do a one-time $10 donation with the $5 bank credit.
-On the 2nd $10 monthly donation (one month after you set it up) you should pay the full $10 but you get another $10 credit (expires before the next month).
-Do another one-time $10 donation with the $10 recurring donation credit.
-Cancel your monthly donations.
After 2 months of recurring & one-time donations you’ll have directed $40 in donations, but only spent $22 from your bank account.
Updated the post with new instructions after finding out the credits expire before the next automatic monthly donation. 7 with 3 in credit from the 3 likes, & you get a 5 credit for using your bank (watch out it looks like they set the credits to expire before your next monthly donation). 5 bank credit. 10 but you get another 10 donation with the $10 recurring donation credit.
-The 1st
-Do a one-time
-On the 2nd
-Cancel your monthly donations.
