This talk focuses on the work GiveWell is doing to assess interventions aimed at achieving legislative change to improve public health. GiveWell has so far made one grant in this area, to the Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention. James Snowden talks about what GiveWell learned assessing this opportunity, and how the process differed from assessing more direct interventions.
In the future, we may post a transcript for this talk, but we haven't created one yet. If you'd like to create a transcript for this talk, contact Aaron Gertler — he can help you get started.
