Impact Ops is excited to announce that we're hiring for three roles:

Impact Ops is an independent organization that provides operational support to high-impact nonprofits. Our services include finance, recruitment, entity setup, due diligence, ops audit, and systems implementation. We’re a “remote-first” organization with team members and clients based across the world.

Operations Specialist
As an Operations Specialist, you will support our entity setup and ops audit services. The starting salary range is £48,000 to £57,500, depending on prior experience and location.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project managing the registration of new nonprofits
- Supporting project leads in exiting fiscal sponsorship arrangements
- Setting up critical operational infrastructure to get projects off the ground
- Advising on compliance and governance aspects of managing a nonprofit
- Coordinating operational audits
- Reviewing nonprofit operational infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement
- Advising on policies and processes for operationally efficient nonprofit management
You’ll need to have:
- 3+ years of operations experience in the nonprofit sector (either in the UK or the US)
- Experience managing multinational projects related to the setup of nonprofits, fiscal sponsorship spinouts, or operational audits
You’ll also likely have:
- Experience with compliance and governance: You excel at ensuring nonprofits meet their legal and regulatory obligations.
- Experience with working in diverse team environments: You’re comfortable collaborating with international teams and adapting to various cultural and professional contexts.
- An operations mindset: You’re good at identifying issues, prioritizing, generating solutions, and efficiently implementing new ideas.

Finance Data Analyst
The starting salary range is £40,000 to £55,000, depending on prior experience and location.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, improving, and maintaining financial dashboards to provide real-time insights and support performance tracking
- Streamlining budgeting processes and financial workflows
- Automating financial processes using tools like Google Sheets (including Apps Script) to optimize efficiency
- Managing and analyzing financial data, including reporting and visualization, to support clients’ operational and strategic goals
- Collaborating with and supporting the Finance team by assisting in various financial operations, ensuring seamless data management and reporting
You’ll need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in finance, data analysis, or a related role, with hands-on experience in dashboards and reporting
- Proficiency in Apps Script (or VBA), with a solid understanding of performance optimization and automation
- The ability to approach complex financial data with a data-driven mindset and coding expertise
- A keen interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance productivity for yourself, your team, and the organizations you support
You’ll also likely have:
- API knowledge: You’re familiar with integrating external data sources into internal systems through APIs.
- Coding skills: You have basic to intermediate Python, R, or SQL knowledge.
- Data visualization experience: You have hands-on experience with tools like Tableau for creating intuitive financial reports and dashboards.
- Experience with setting up integrations: You have a solid knowledge of setting up integrations with finance data platforms and CRMs (e.g. Ramp, Gusto, BILL, Airtable, or others).
- Interest in finance and data science: You have a passion for using data to drive better financial decisions and processes.

Finance Associate (US)
The starting salary range is $50,000 to $55,000, depending on prior experience and location.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating, tracking, and maintaining budgets
- Processing payments such as invoices and expense reimbursements
- Carrying out routine bookkeeping tasks
- Supporting the finance team in day-to-day financial tasks
- Cross-referencing bank statements and accounting records with internal controls
- Ensuring compliance with the regulatory and tax requirements in the relevant jurisdictions
You’ll need to have:
- 2+ years of experience in finance, budget management, or a related role
- An understanding of financial compliance and tax regulations in relevant jurisdictions, particularly for the US
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, or similar tools, with a solid understanding of financial reporting and bookkeeping
You’ll also likely have:
- Experience in the nonprofit sector: You have US-specific nonprofit finance experience.
- Experience with working in diverse team environments: You’re comfortable collaborating with international teams and adapting to various cultural and professional contexts.
- An operations mindset: You’re good at identifying issues, prioritizing, generating solutions, and efficiently implementing new ideas.
- Strong attention to detail: You identify and correct small errors to ensure precision and accuracy in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Application process
Here’s a summary of the application process for a successful candidate:
- Application: Submit an application form, sharing your contact details, CV, and other experiences. (For the Operations Specialist role, you'll be invited to submit a 30-minute test after submitting the form.)
- Screening call: Attend a brief screening call, where you’ll have the chance to ask questions about the role.
- Assessment(s): Complete 1-2 paid assessments, designed to simulate the work you’d do if hired into the role.
- Interview: Attend a remote interview with at least one of our co-founders to assess team fit.
- Work trial: Attend a paid, remote work trial — where you’ll spend the day meeting the team and completing further assessments.
- References: Share references who can comment on your aptitudes. If your references are strong, you’ll receive an offer!

There may be flexibility in salary for exceptional candidates with significant experience.
Our benefits include:

This is a full-time role, but part-time would also be possible for particularly strong candidates. We prefer candidates who can overlap with European timezones, but we’re open to other arrangements for exceptional candidates.
