Givewell's made it their mission to find the best nonprofits working in exactly the near-term, urgent but high-impact space.
If I ran an EA charity, I would definitely spend the hour to create a Twitter account and reply, earning a nontrivial chance to introduce my organization to one of the richest people in the world.
A year later, Bezos has launched a $2 billion dollar fund to help the homeless.
This looks awesome!
