Funding Strategy Week 2026 runs from November 23 to 29. It is a week for discussing key questions about funding in the EA movement: how much money is coming in, how shared resources are managed, and where marginal funding should go. The aim is to build shared knowledge about the funding situation and surface the community’s main disagreements about how resources should be spent.
Example questions for the week include:
- How much money is likely to come into EA cause areas over the next year or more, and where is it likely to go?
- How are “EA” resources currently split across cause areas, and what should count as an EA resource?
- When should donors give now, and when should they save to give later?
Ways to take part
- Write a post, crosspost one (ask the author’s permission before crossposting full text; link-posts with your own summary don’t need it), or get a friend to write one
- Read, vote on, and comment on posts during the week
