The Nuclear Threat Initiative is a nonprofit organization that works to prevent global catastrophic risks from nuclear, radiological, chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction.

As of May 2021, NTI has received over $20 million in grants from Open Philanthropy (2021). NTI is one of the four organizations recommended by Founders Pledge in their cause report on safeguarding the Long-term future (Halstead 2019).
