I don't have idea to this answer since I don't understand AI at all currently. However, I feel like it's a valuable question! There's a post talking about it's extremely difficult to enter EA organisations. Therefore, I believe in fact tons of people are thinking this question. It seems reducing AI s-risks may be harder than reducing AI x-risks in non-EA world . However it'd be quite encouraging if we can work in non-EA world and do donations and direct work efficiently at the same timem
