Impactful Policy Careers helps mission-driven professionals pursue high-impact careers in EU policy. We focus on roles with the potential to shape outcomes at scale across priority cause areas, including global health and development and animal welfare. Our support includes guidance for competitive EU civil service pathways (such as AD5), targeted preparation support, and an in-person Brussels programme that builds practical policy skills, strategic insight, and strong professional networks.

Impactful Policy Careers — AD5 support for high-impact EU policy roles
The European Commission will open applications for AD5 Administrator roles in Feb–March 2026. The last AD5 competition was in 2019, making this a rare entry point into high-leverage EU policy work across cause areas such as global health and development, and animal welfare.
At Impactful Policy Careers, we’re offering selective support for mission-driven candidates considering AD5. This includes guidance on eligibility and applications, structured preparation for EPSO assessments, and broader career support for navigating EU policy roles where impact at scale is possible.
AD5 is extremely competitive, but we believe strong preparation and targeted support can meaningfully improve candidates’ chances of success — and help more impact-oriented people enter influential policy positions.
IPC Global Health Accelerator - Applications Open
We're accepting applications for our Global Health cohort (Sept 27-Oct 3, Brussels) until May 3. This fully-funded week prepares EU citizens for high-impact policy careers in global health and development.
Train with 15+ EU practitioners alongside 19 other mission-driven professionals. Over 50% of last year's participants secured policy roles within 6 months.
Requirements: EU citizenship, Bachelor's+, C1 in English/French/German + B2 in another EU language.
